Here are diagrams that display the major scale notes on the guitar’s fretboard for standard tuning. The notes are located over the frets, just like they are played for slide guitar.
Almost all of the keys are provided. Included are diagrams for both the note names, as well as the numbers of each note in relation to the major scale.
Knowing where these notes are located on the fretboard can give you more fluidity and expression across the fretboard. The top two strings are especially great to utilize for melodic elements of slide playing.
